Economics

The MIT Economics Department today is a vibrant collection offaculty and students.

The Department's distinguishedscholars have received numerous awards,

including three NobelPrizes

(Franco Modigliani, PaulSamuelson, and Robert Solow),

and many are Fellows of theNational Academy of Sciences,

the American Academy of Arts andSciences, and the Econometric Society.

Many faculty members have servedin various elected offices of the American Economic Association andthe Econometric Society.
